Hamari village in Porvoo has a a centuries-old storyfull of mansions, shipyards and sawmills, not to mention very colorfull villagers.

The merchant ships built in Hamari took the lumber produced at the sawmill all the way to America, some were lost at sea, never to return. Hundreds of workers worked and lived quite happily on the tiny sawmill islands next to the village. The stories are endless.

By taking part in the guided Hamari history tour, you can dive into the lost world, guided by a local with a passion for history.

Guided kayaking is also suitable as an introduction to kayaking to those who don't yet dare to go paddling independently.
